What we do

CRT Monitor Rental

GGS Productions rents professional Hantarex and Sony PVM CRT monitors for museums, exhibitions and video art projects.

For much moving-image work, the tube monitor is not a technical detail: it is part of how the work was conceived. That is why we offer five formats for rental — Hantarex 25, 28 and 34 inch and Sony PVM 14 and 20 inch — and take care of installation, connection and playback when the project calls for it.

Availability and terms for each rental are confirmed through a quote request.

Hantarex

Hantarex CRT 25 inch rental

The 25-inch Hantarex is the smallest Hantarex format we offer for rental. It is a practical choice when the room, the mounting height or the composition of a work calls for a more compact Hantarex monitor, whether used on its own or as part of a wall of several screens.

The quantity available is confirmed in the quote request.

Hantarex

Hantarex CRT 28 inch rental

The 28-inch Hantarex sits in the middle of the range: more presence in the room than the 25-inch, without the weight and depth of the 34-inch. It suits medium-sized rooms and set-ups where several monitors share the same content.

Tell us how many monitors you need and for which dates; we confirm availability for the format.

Hantarex

Hantarex CRT 34 inch rental

The 34-inch is the largest Hantarex format we offer for rental. It brings the most presence to a room, and also the most weight and depth, so transport, fixing and support should be planned well in advance. The manufacturer’s documentation lists dimensions and weights for the series.

Manufacturer’s technical documentation (PDF, Italian and English): Hantarex MGG EQ/3 datasheet. The configuration of each available unit is confirmed in the quote request.

Sony PVM

Sony PVM CRT 14 inch rental

The 14-inch Sony PVM is a compact professional video monitor from the Trinitron family. It is the right format for small works, for screens viewed up close and for set-ups that need several monitors in a limited space.

Sony PVM CRT 20 inch rental

The 20-inch Sony PVM is the larger of the two Sony formats we offer. It keeps the look of the PVM family and gives a work more presence on the wall or on a plinth, while remaining easier to handle than the large Hantarex monitors.

Applications

CRT monitors for museums, exhibitions and video art

Much video art was made and shown on tube monitors, and presenting it again often calls for the same kind of screen. CRT monitors are used in exhibitions to reconstruct historical installations, to present works conceived for this medium and to build video walls with a physical presence. For anyone looking for vintage monitors for exhibitions, GGS combines the rental with technical support for the installation.

Integration

Audiovisual integration and playback

Beyond renting the equipment, GGS can take care of installation in the space, cabling, playback set-up and testing before the opening, integrating the monitors into the rest of the exhibition’s audiovisual system. See audiovisual installation for museums and exhibitions and exhibition installation.

Availability

Availability and quote request

We do not publish prices or quantities: they depend on the format, the number of monitors, the dates, the location and the technical support needed.

To request a quote, tell us the formats you need, the dates and duration, the location of the project, and whether you need installation and playback.
