Exhibition Installation
Audiovisual installation and technical integration for exhibitions in museums, galleries and cultural centres.
Installing an exhibition takes technical planning, coordination between teams and a rigorous integration of many different systems.
GGS Productions delivers the audiovisual installation of exhibitions in museums, galleries and cultural centres, from preparing and installing the equipment to programming, testing and technical support.
We work alongside artists, curators, production companies, architects and museography teams, so that the audiovisual solutions fit the project and are ready for the opening.

Planning the technical installation of an exhibition
The technical installation of an exhibition starts before any equipment reaches the room. With the exhibition team we work from floor plans, visitor routes and the condition of each space: where projectors, screens and loudspeakers go, how cables and power reach them, what access the installation needs and how the equipment will be maintained once the show is open.
Settling these decisions early lets the audiovisual work follow the schedule of the build, the lighting and the museography, instead of competing with them in the final days.
Coordination with the production and installation teams
Every exhibition has its own people and constraints. We coordinate with artists on how a work should play and be seen, with curators on the sequence and the rooms, with producers on deadlines and logistics, and with museography and construction teams on the shared space. GGS takes responsibility for the audiovisual and technical installation; scenography, construction and museography remain with their own specialists.
Audiovisual installation: from set-up to testing
Installing the equipment in the space
Projectors, displays, LED walls, loudspeakers and media players are installed in position, secured and aligned on site, with the technical support structures the project requires.
The systems themselves (specification, projection, multichannel audio and integration) are described in audiovisual installation for museums and exhibitions.
Playback and sound, work by work
Each work is set up with its own playback chain: video, sound and, where the work calls for it, multichannel audio. We configure players and displays, route the audio and check that every piece starts, loops and recovers as the artist and curator expect.
Cabling and system integration
Cabling is laid and labelled and the equipment is integrated into one working system, programmed so that the exhibition starts and runs reliably every day. This audiovisual integration in museums and galleries is what keeps the exhibition running day after day.
Testing and tuning before the opening
Projection is aligned, sound is calibrated and every room is tested from end to end before the opening. We stay on site for the final adjustments, so the exhibition opens with the systems running as designed.

Technical support after the opening
Once the exhibition is open, GGS maintains the systems throughout the exhibition period, with remote support, and returns for the final dismantling where the project calls for it. Equipment can also be hired for a project.
Who we work with
We work with museums, galleries and cultural centres, with production companies and exhibition organisers, with artists and curators, and with architects and museography teams who need a specialist partner for the audiovisual and technical side of the installation.
